The times they are achanging.

Just came back from nephew Tall Paul's 17th birthday party. There has been a definite change in the family mix that has been evident this holiday season, and I've just figured it out. We have no more little kids in the family. The two youngest nieces are ten now, double digits, closing in on 5 feet. They're just not little people anymore.

The times they surely do cycle. I figure another 3-5 years, and I'll start having grand nieces and nephews. But it will be different. My hands aren't as strong anymore, I probably won't be able to rock them to sleep as I did most of the current generations. I'll be dottier and goofier and . . . oh well, they'll figure out what to do with me.

Night!
